New things for the houses

The kids had stolen the batteries from my camera so I couldn't take any pics until going to the store. Here are my new things, some of it I'm not sure in which house it's going, but I'm sure that everything will find its place :) Here's some of the stuff, there's more small things but I don't want to unpack them as I'm really good in loosing things :D

These tiny shells are so cute :)

I have made a bed, still needs some paintwork and matress etc.

And here are some real cupcakes which I did for my sons birthday and I can assure you that they were good, especially the icing - just normal vanilla-butter icing, but soooo good :)

  3. Nope, all eaten :D I have to do more someday or actually for me only the frosting :)

Now as I'm looking the pictures, the 2 chairs seem out of scale, too big, don't you think? I've been looking at them earlier thinking the same, but in the pic it's more obvious. Or are the Besbaq furniture smaller than usual? The sofa is my first Besbaq, found it in sale and probably will be the only one for a long time as they are so expensive :(

  4. Thanks Anneke, I like the bed also although it looks quite big - 8 cm wide, 15 cm long and 3,5 cm high - but if you scale it to 1:1 it's actually too short. It's really difficult sometimes with the scale, takes probably a long time before the eye adjusts easily to the 1:12.

  5. Nice minis!
The size of minis changes with perspective and relative darkness of colours, it's tricky!

  6. Hello,
A little tip how to make the not painted french chair more to scale:
Cut the bottom pieces of chair legs! Measure it to the Bespaq sofa.
Those french chairs often looks a bit "wide and fat" lol
All your items look nice and it's going to be fun to see what you do!

  9. What a wonderful collection!

Where did you get the birdcage? I think my two loves at the moment are birdcages and ladders - do you think I ought to visit a psychiatrist??? LOL

  10. Nope, I have a thing for birdcages also :D The birdcage is from Eurominis selection, they sell them really widely in Europe, I don't know about Australia. Here's some links http://www.eurominis.nl/meubelen-witmetaal.htm http://www.eurominis.nl/meubelen-bruinmetaal.htm They don't seem to have the bigger brown birdcage in the catalog anymore. I can get you some, if you want :)

  11. Thanks Ira! I've had a look on the eurominis website - the brown ones are back again. There is a miniatures fair here in Sydney at the beginning of May. I'll wait and see what is available there but if necessary I'll contact you and perhaps we can arrange a swap arrangement :)
