Toscana garden coming together

This is what I've been doing for a couple of days
Lots to do still. I would love to do a pergola with grapewine on the left side where the sofa is right now but have to figure out where to get the leaves, the grapes and wine part is easy. And lots and lots of plants needed, some of the swap flowers are going here and I have app. 20 flower kits to put together :) And need to finish my olive tree and do one peach tree :)

This garden is in the kitchen end, to the other end of the house I'll do app. same sized walled garden, which will have covered dining area and stairs going up to the balcony. And more flowers there, a wisteria is a must on the wall and need some rose climbers also :)

Now off to bed, it's almost 2 am here :)

  1. Your garden plans sound fantastic Ira, especially the grapevine and wisteria, I would love to try those too, very complicated flowers for the wisteria though. Keen to see what you do:)

  2. It looks like a very restful place to be Ira. I too love the idea of a wisteria so I will be interested to see how you tackle it.

Dried mung beans make excellent stuffed olives and they come in green and black and are really life like. If they are not available in Finland give me a shout and I will send you some.

You are going to tackle a wisteria...you are braver than me lol.

I beleive there is a punch for grape leaves. Let me know if you can't get one and I'll look here for you.

  6. You are very brave trying wisteria!! I tried once, after 3 mind bending hours I was so exhausted I sat back and shovelled the whole lot in the rubbish bin :) With your ability making plants I'm sure you'll have something wonderful to show us.

Love this garden by the way.

  7. That stone floor looks great! How did you do it, with paper clay? Good Luck making all those plants. I hated making plants and flowers. I do love what they add though.

  10. Your further plans sound exciting, can't wait to see your next steps. But even now it is quite inviting to sit there, enjoy the beautiful flowers and sip a little drink made from the best italian grapes...

  12. Thanks girls :) I'll see how the wisteria will come along, at least the wine will be easy to do, maybe I'll have a dead wisteria in the garden :D

Thanks Janice for the tip, I'll look for them :)

Tallulah, thanks for the info, I think that I won't be able to get it from Finland, all the punches are usually too big that I find :(

Catherine, the floor and the walls are made with wallfiller, I drew the stone lines freehand with a coctail stick, sanded the whole thing, painted it a couple of times and grouted it with fine grouting which I smeared then all over the stones and painted again :D I hated making flowers but now I actually enjoy it quite a lot, going mad? :D

Glenda, you're more than welcome anytime :)

Ewa, hey, it's my garden so there needs to be an ashtray :D I think that I smoke irl the double while doing the garden :D

  20. I did mess with the translator :-)
Before I wrote that the garden is already so beautiful: be careful not to add too many plants, not to turn it into a jungle :-)
BTW Is there anyone who smokes strong!
