Kitchen coming together in the Toscana house

I've been doing some kitchen cabinet set bashing. I wanted to do the kitchen for the Toscana house, but didn't feel like building the cabinets from scratch so I bought this cheap modern kitchen set and did some bashing :)
There's still missing the sink and tabs as well as the knobs from the gas cooker. And the fridge, which is a pain to find a suitable one, really don't want to do it myself. Tomorrow I'll try to do some herbs and a pelargonium to the kitchen and I don't know if I should tile the back splas area or not.

And to replace some of the loss in the bakkery I did some more Fimo cream tarts, which don't attract the dogs :D

  1. The kitchen looks great and also the cream tarts!
I like also the look without tiles...no need to do it...it's what you want yourself...

  2. Thanks :) I also like the wall as it is, I might just have tiles behind the cooker, I'll have to try some how it looks like.

  4. I agree, the wall looks beautiful as it is. I love the feel of the room -- it's absolutely a kitchen I'd like to have myself (and doesn't look like a mini at all!)

And the cream tarts are yummy-looking!

  7. Ditto what everyone else said, looks great as it is. The cabinetry looks really good, don't know what it looked like before. I also want to try this 'bashing', haven't really made a start on my shop interior, maybe will have the opportunity then.

  8. Thanks you all :) Margaret - the cabinets were these plain white doors with long "metal" handles and black work tops - I added some beading (balsa wood), painted them roughly with cream paint and sanded the shiny worktops. This bashing is really fun, just go for it :)

  9. Creo que se ve mas real sin azulejos. El cambio de los muebles modernos esta genial. A esta cocina solo le falta un rayo de sol entrando en ella para sentirse en la toscana. Besos.
