Riding boots and a whip...

Well, my daughter ask if I could do mini riding boots and a whip for her dressage coach and I (stupid) said yes...

I can assure you that it's not the wisest thing to try to do boots as the first ever mini shoes. And especially without any pattern.  Well, they look quite ok, the best that I can do - the toe part is the most difficult one, I think that the leather should be stretched to the round shape but as these boots are made from artificial leahter, not a possibility. Thankfully the whip was easier to make, it's flexible so her coach can use it :D
Should go to bed as I have to take the kids to the airport at 4.30 am, in a 4 and half hours actually :D Or I don't know if it would be smarter to stay awake until then. Now off to finish the last load of laundry.

  1. I think you both got off thee dearly, as always. Given the difficulties, have achieved excellent results (are you sure that the one in the photo is a whip and not a magic wand?)...
A big hug, until Monday I can not see the blog and already I miss you all!

Ira, what a great job, even if this is your 10th time! Those boots are very convincing!

  5. Didn't you say you wouldn't have the time for minis lately??;) Great boots and the whip! There is always a problem with artificial leather, it never is soft enough. And you're saying it was the first time you made them, my Dear?! I cannot believe it anyway!:D
