And then some pics of gifts :)

First my birthday presents from my dear friend Hanne, thank you so much :) Fabulous Reutter glasses and amazing crocheted table cloth and beadspread handmade by her, they really are pieces of art :)

And then some pics from my Toscana house where the lovely things from Flora and Sonya have found places :) On the chair there are jewellery from Flora, they wait for a hook next to the bed. The painting above the fireplace and the box on the floor are from Flora also.
In the atelier there's a plant press on the table and the flower on the wall are from Sonya.

In the kitchen there's Sonya flowers on the fridge, I got a new toaster also. And just noticed from the pic that the frying pan has fallen down :) The towel is from Flora.

Sonyas flower and pots found their place in the shelve and the decorated tile went to the kitchen wall. On the table are Floras cookbook and fab plates, on the serving plate is Sonyas cheese. The wine and water bottle are also from Sonya and the fab peaches from Jody :)

  2. Thanks, I love wallpaper, but don't have it too much in our house as it's so diffult with an old house which walls "live" all the time - you see the seams so easily. And it's also a hell to keep clean with these dogs, from painted surface you can just wipe off the drool and mud :D

And I love it also to have things from friends in the house, it makes so much more special :)

  15. Thank you all for your nice words :) I really love the house as there's so many genuine Italian things in there :) I need some food there, I'm trying to do some mozzarella salad myself and I also need some apricots and olives, I loved the fresh apricots when we were in Toscana :) And I think that a bottle of Limoncello would fit in the kitchen :D And what comes to pasta, I think that I'll try an easy one first, pasta al burro :D

  18. Oh Sans, I can't wait :D And there's plenty of room for stuff in the kitchen, irl I want my kitchen to be really simple and not much stuff visible, but in Toscana house I can fill the counters with stuff :D

And yes, a wonderful housewarming party indeed :)

  20. cockerina - pasta al burro was my sons favorite dish when he was small with lots of parmesan :) And I think that even it will be difficult for me to make from Fimo ;D

And I LOVE Italy, if I could choose where to live I would live in Toscana app.45 minutes down from Firenze in a lovely villa with my own apricot and olive trees, garden full of poppies, irises and hollyhocks :)

And I would sit in the terrace, eat antipasto, duck liver pasta and have an glass of ice cold Frizzantino :D Now I just need to win in lottery :D

  21. Ok! then I hope you win the lottery, but if you come back in Italy, do not stop to Tuscany, I live in Puglia (south of Italy) and even if you saw her you would love my country ... beautiful blue sea, clean and transparent with rocky beaches, eat fresh fried fish, and lots of mozzarella, olives and tomatoes on "bruschetta" (toasted bread) and drinking red wine "Primitivo"... you like the idea? then I'll wait! ha ha!
    kisses, Caterina

  22. I forgot ... why do pasta with butter, with Fimo? too hard! tries to make spaghetti with white sewing thread and glue ...
    hello again!

  24. cockerina, I'll come visit you as soon as I win in the lottery :) And thanks for the link for your food blog, me and my whole family could live only with Italian food, it's excellent :) And I have to try the thread pasta :D

The why I would love to live in the northern part or Italy is that there would be a short drive to Switzerland, where we lived 8 years and it's near Venetzia, which I love.

We used to go for holidays in Sardegna for many years when I was small, I loved it :)

    VastaaPoista
  25. to be modest, in fact, Italy is quite beautiful!
Venice is wonderful, and Sardinia is spectacular .... in Switzerland I've never been, but if I win the lottery maybe we meet there ... ha ha! I prefer the mountains, as you can see from my blog ...
    have a good day!
